Patricia Kay Petet
(Pattie) Patricia Kay Petet, age 59, a resident of Higginsville, Missouri, passed away Friday, February 5, 2010 at Kansas City Hospice House. Pattie was born December 3, 1950 in Carrollton, Missouri, the daughter of the late Henry, and Vera (Meek) Brockmeier. She graduated from Carrollton High School in 1968.
Pattie was a member of the Carrollton Nazarene Church for over thirty-four years and more recently attended the First Baptist Church in Higginsville. Over the years Pattie worked at Dale Williams’ Clothing, Patterson's, Places, Orbseal, and Casey’s in Carrollton, then in Richmond at Wal-Mart and Orbseal. After moving to Waverly to raise her growing family she also worked as a homemaker and provided child daycare services for numerous families sharing her attention and affection. Her last position was with ARO, Inc. of Kansas City as a work-at-home call center representative where she took great pleasure in getting to know the applicants interviewed all over the USA, but her greatest joy in life was spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Pattie is survived by seven children, Deric Wilkinson and spouse, Regina, Waverly, Missouri, Tracy Wilkinson-Jakabosky and spouse, Kevin, Shawnee, Kansas, Jennifer Petet-Frazee and spouse, Brandon, Higginsville, Missouri, Tim Petet and spouse, Heather, Glendora, New Jersey, Cody Petet and spouse, Yolande, Overland Park, Kansas, Caleb Petet and spouse, Rebecca, Richmond, Missouri, Daniel Petet, Warrensburg, Missouri, a stepson, Matthew Wheeler and spouse, Kristine, Lee’s Summit, Missouri, nine grandchildren, Dalton and Wyatt Wilkinson, Dylan, Demi and Denver Frazee, Catherine, Jude and Tatem Petet, Amity Jones-Petet, and three step grandchildren, Grace, Jack and Mary Wheeler and four siblings, Carroll Brockmeier and spouse, the late DeEtte Brockmeier, Carrollton, Missouri, Donnie Brockmeier, Carrollton, Missouri, Juanita Hertzog and spouse, Don, Holden, Missouri, and Danny Brockmeier and spouse, Lynda, Carrollton, Missouri.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 11, 2010 at Gibson Funeral Home, Carrollton, Missouri, with Dr. Greg Fine of Higginsville First Baptist church officiating. Burial will be in Carroll Memory Gardens, Carrollton, Missouri.
Visitation will be from 6-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at Gibson Funeral Home, Carrollton, Missouri.
