Glenn Kase Hansel

Glenn Kase Hansel, age 90, of Carrollton, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at his home.

Glenn was born March 18, 1919 in Carrollton, Missouri, the son of William H. and Sophia D. (Kase) Hansel. He attended Fletcher Grade School and graduated from Carrollton High School.

On September 7, 1941 he married Naomi Scholle in Carrollton, Missouri. She survives of the home.

Glenn was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Carrollton, Missouri. After Glenn graduated from high school he was a truck driver until 1941 when he went to work in San Diego, California at Consolidated Aircraft. In 1944 he and Naomi moved back to Bogard where he farmed until his retirement in 2005.

In addition to his wife, Glenn is also survived by three children, Janet Jacobs and husband, Gary, Bosworth, Missouri, Patsi Miller and husband, Tugger, Carrollton, Missouri, Larry Hansel, Carrollton, Missouri, one sister, Dorthea McDaniel, Kent, Washington, one brother, Harry Hansel, Hastings, Minnesota, four grandchildren, Suzanne Butterfield, Tim Jacobs, Mike Jacobs and Dawn Hall, seven great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, four step great-grandchildren and four step-great-great-grandchildren.

His parents, one daughter, Sue Vogelsmeier, one granddaughter, Sandy Vogelsmeier, one great-grandson, Keith Wilson, brothers, William Clayton and Perry Lee, an infant brother, Junior, and one sister, Lucille Flynn, preceded him in death.

Visitation will be from 6:30-8:00 p.m., Friday, March 5, 2010 at Gibson Funeral Home, Carrollton, Missouri.

Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m., Saturday, March 6, 2010 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Carrollton, Missouri, with Pastor Eric Swyres officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Carrollton, Missouri.

The family suggests contributions be made to the Lutheran Radio Fund in memory of Glenn. They may be left at or mailed to Gibson Funeral Home, 201 S. Main, Carrollton MO 64633.
