Ruth Giese, 81, of Palmyra, WI passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 11, 2024 at AngelsGrace Hospice in Oconomowoc, WI.
Ruth was born on October 5, 1942 in Milwaukee the daughter of Egbert and Helen (Lewandowski) Steinpas. She grew up in the Milwaukee area and after completing her schooling, worked as a cashier for some time. Ruth was blessed with five children, Laura, Jason, David, Anasthasia, and Nicholas. On June 15, 1991 Ruth was reunited in marriage to Orval Giese in Milwaukee and the two would go on to enjoy 32 years of marriage together. Ruth and Orval started their years together in the Milwaukee area and then moved to Waukesha. They would eventually move out to Palmyra to enjoy the peace and quiet. Ruth enjoyed fishing with her husband, and in her younger years liked to go dancing. She was a loving mother and devoted much of her life to the care of her children and foster children. Ruth was a kind and caring person and she will be deeply missed by her family.
She is survived by: her loving husband, Orval Giese of Palmyra; her children, Laura (Joe) Goskowsky of Waukesha, Jason Giese of Elcho, David Giese of West Allis, Anastasia (Steven) Reszczynski of Milwaukee, and Nicholas Giese of Palmyra; her step-children, Vicky (Jerome) Kutka of Cudahy, Rick (Chris) Giese of Cudahy; her grandchildren, Jacob, Tina, Jessica, Tyler, Brandan, Charles, Samuel, Alice, Maxwell, Harmony, Sierra, Kordae, Cameron, Steven, and Mya; and her two great-grandchildren, Austin and Miranda. She is also survived by a number of other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Jerry and Tom, sister Carol, and her step-son Mark.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, February 16, 2024 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Palmyra, WI. Fr. Patrick Wendler will officiate the Mass. Visitation will take place from 9:00AM until the time of service at the church. Ruth will be laid to rest in Holy Sepulcher Catholic Cemetery on Friday at 2:00PM. (3800 E.
