Johanna Hunt Fisher

Johanna H. Fisher, 83, of Eagle, WI passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at the Waukesha Memorial Hospital with her loving family by her side.

Johanna was born on February 20, 1935 in Milwaukee, WI the daughter of Edwin and Helen (Karwoski) Hunt. Johanna grew up in Milwaukee and after graduating from high school, she attended Marquette University. While at Marquette, she met a young man named Edward Fisher. The two would be married on July 20, 1957 in Milwaukee. God blessed their union with three children. Johanna worked as an executive in the Wholesale Electrical field for over 40 years.

Johanna was a woman of faith. She was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church in Eagle for the majority of her life. Johanna put her faith in to practice by volunteering and caring for others at the Pro Health Center in Oconomowoc. She had many interests and talents throughout her life. She was an excellent baker and cook, she loved to tend her garden, she enjoyed watching the birds in her yard and taking care of her cats and other pets. She also loved to sing and had a wonderful singing voice. In her younger years, she enjoyed acting in plays and musicals. Johanna had a great sense of humor and it stayed with her through her final days. Above all else, Johanna loved her family. She was an excellent mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and she will be dearly missed.

Johanna is survived by: her 3 loving children; Keith (Cindy) Fisher, Julianna (John) Burmesch, and Cheryl (Geoff) Greulich; 6 grandchildren; Kevin, Crystal, Justin, Hannah, Jeremiah, Samantha; and 6 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and her loving husband of 56 years, Edward Fisher.

Johanna’s family would like to express their special and heartfelt thanks to Rhose Boldon, Merly Boldon and Susan Youngblood for the extraordinary loving care they provided to their mother.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Johanna's honor may be made to St. Theresa Catholic Church.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 4:00PM on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Eagle, WI. Fr. Dennis Ackeret will officiate the mass. Visitation will be held from 2:00PM until the time of mass at the church. Johanna will be laid to rest at a later date in St. Theresa Catholic Cemetery.
