Judy Ann Griffiths

Judy A. Griffiths, 71, of Wales, formerly of Palmyra, WI passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2019 at Lake Country Landing Assisted Living in Oconomowoc.

Judy was born on July 21, 1947 in Toledo, OH the daughter of Calvin & Laura (Miller) Gess. She spent her childhood in Ida and Temperance, MI. In 1968, Judy met a young man, Rick Griffiths on a blind date with friends in Toledo and the rest was history. Rick and Judy were united in marriage on April 12, 1969 in Temperance. God blessed their union with three children.  First and foremost in Judy’s life was her family. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and took excellent care of her children and grandchildren. Caring for her family was her passion and purpose. After her children were grown, Judy worked as a Teacher’s Aide at Palmyra Elementary School in the Special Education Department and enjoyed working with those children. She also worked in the bakery at the Sentry Store in Whitewater. Judy has left a lasting impact and legacy through her children and family and will be dearly missed.

She is survived by: her loving husband of 50 years, Rick Griffiths; her 3 children, Amy (Ron) Butenhoff, Todd (Staci) Griffiths, and Sean (Jody) Griffiths; her 14 grandchildren, Calvin, Owen, Meghan, Hunter, Collin, Chloe, Quinn, Braden, Marshall, Archer, Jadyn, Marissa, Mya, and Karley; and her brother, Larry (Diana) Gess. Judy is also survived by a number of other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents.
