Kenneth M. Benner, 64, of Oconomowoc, WI passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at Azura Memory Care.
Ken was born on December 31, 1954 in Milwaukee. He moved out to Eagle, WI and attended Palmyra-Eagle High School. After high school, Ken served his country in the United States Army. After an honorable discharge, Ken began his working career. Ken was proud of his work and his work ethic. He worked as a Manufacturing Rubber Technician for RTE Companies and was excellent at his job. Ken’s loving family remembers him as hardworking, loyal, and generous. He appreciated the simple pleasures in life and had a quiet and content spirit. Ken was an avid outdoorsman. He will be remembered for his love of hunting, especially at his cabin up north. He hosted hunting trips for his friends and family up at his cabin and always kept everyone well fed. He also enjoyed a good game of cribbage and trapshooting as well. Above all else, Ken’s family was most important to him. He was a good son, brother, uncle and friend and will be dearly missed by his family.
Ken is survived by: his mother and step-father, Barbara (William) Schultz; his father, Maurice Benner; and his siblings, LuAnne Cundiff, Debbie (Fred) Honeyager, Donna (Al) Davies and Sandy (Bob) Moore. Ken is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Ken is preceded in death by his grandparents and a loving niece, April Moore.
A Memorial Service will be held for Ken at 11:00AM on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at the Gibson Family Funeral Home in Palmyra, WI (320 W. Main St. Palmyra, WI 53156). Visitation will take place from 10:00AM until the time of service at the funeral home.
