Mildred A. (Benson) Smale

Mildred A. Smale, age 86 of Waukesha, WI passed away peacefully at home on December 18, 2018 surrounded by her family.

Beloved wife of Gordon for 66 years, mother of John (Mary C.) Smale, Ann Mace, Mary Smale, Kay Reichold, Paul (Val) Smale, Roy Smale, Joan (Thomas) Vogal, Amy (Geoffrey) Ellis, Dawn (James) Bauer, mother-in-law of Russ Nelson, grandmother of Benjamin (Kathryn) Smale, Sean Smale, James (Alexa) Finney, Michael Finney, Michelle Mace, Holly Mace, Christopher Mace, Mathew (Michele) Reichold, Kirstin (Gus) Lietzau, Jennifer Reichold, Leslie (Loren) Bronstad, Peter Nelson, Gordon (Ashley) Smale, Patti (David) Wirtz, Sophia Vogal, Jacob Vogal, Justin Vogal, Julie (David) McCarren, Brian Ellis, Kyle Ellis, Kayla Ellis, Katarina Bauer, and Jakob Bauer. Millie is further survived by her 22 great-grandchildren; sister, Marie Jones; and many other relatives and dear friends.

Millie was preceded in death by her daughter Jean Nelson; grandchildren, John Emery Smale, Amanda Ellen Smale, and Catherine Rose Smale; son-in-law, H.C. Reichold; brother, Ernest Benson; brother-in-law, Donald Jones; sister-in-law, Caroline Howell.

Private family services will be held at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Wales, WI.
