Andrew D. Lang

Andrew D. Lang, 33, of Eagle, WI passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at his home.

Andrew was born on November 1, 1986 in Brookfield, WI the son of David and Cheryl (Kugel) Lang. He grew up in the Eagle and East Troy area and excelled in all types of sports. He had a love and passion for football and was a top ranked wrestler. Andrew had a natural ability in sports, they came easy to him. He attended East Troy High School and graduated in 2006. Andrew had many passions and interests in his life. These passions defined who he was as a person. First and foremost, he loved his family. He had a very special relationship with his mother and he loved his brothers, Christopher and Matt. He was happiest when spending time with those he loved. Whether it was conversation, or enjoying a Packer or Brewer game, it didn’t matter as long as he was around those closest to him. Andrew also had a love for nature and animals. He was known to go on long walks and just enjoy the beauty of God’s creation. Another one of Andrew’s defining characteristics was his love for music. He was deeply passionate about music and loved to listen to it and talk about it. Finally, anyone who spent time with Andrew knew he had a big heart and would not hesitate to go out of his way to help anyone in need. He was everybody’s friend and conversing with others was one of his favorite things. He was dearly loved and he will be deeply missed by those he leaves behind.

Andrew is survived by: his loving mother, Cheryl Ann Kugel Lang; his brothers, Christopher Lang and Matthew (Jamie) Lang, his maternal grandparents, Melvin and Carol Kugel; his nephews, Walker Matthew and Huxley James Lang; his aunt and uncles, Rick (Lori) Kugel and Scott Kugel; and his cousins, Jason Couch, Kayla (Nick) Footit, Steven Szymkowski, Dylan Kugel, Samantha (Nathan) Elderbrook, Tyler Kugel, and Allie Kugel. Andrew is also survived by a number of other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, David Anthony Lang, his paternal grandparents, George and Agnes Lang, and his aunt Debra Couch.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to express their sympathy may consider a memorial to Andrew’s family.

A Memorial Gathering and Visitation to celebrate Andrew’s life will be held from 1:00PM until 4:00PM on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at the Gibson Family Funeral Home in Eagle, WI (103 W. Eagle Street, Eagle, WI 53119). A private family service will start at 4:00PM. Friends and family will then be invited to a reception in Andrew’s honor at the North Prairie Community Center Hall at 5:00PM (130 N. Harrison Street, North Prairie, WI 53153).
