Arnold “Arnie” E. Uglum, age 80, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 8, 2026 at his home with his loving family by his side.
Arnold was born on May 1, 1945 in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin the son of Arnold I. and Bertha E. (Buman) Uglum. Arnie grew up in the West Milwaukee area and graduated from Messmer High School. God blessed Arnold with two children, Scott and Jan. After completing his schooling, Arnie worked as a foundry worker for the majority of his working career, retiring in 2003. He was a hard-working man and took pride in providing well for his family. Arnie was an active parishioner at St. Bruno Catholic Church for his whole life and was very involved in his church. He was always willing to help the parish however he could and if he saw a need, he filled it. Arnie regularly picked up other parishioners for church, opened up church for mass, worked dinners and fundraisers and pretty much any other job he was asked to do. Arnie worked as unto the Lord and did not need recognition for his contributions. He will be remembered for his kindness, generosity with his time and money, and his hard work ethic. He was a man of deep devotion and he will be sincerely missed but forever remembered by those he leaves behind.
He is survived by: his children, Scott (Tonya) Uglum of Nashotah, and Jan (Daryl) Flanagan of Lebanon; his grandchildren, Kacy (Sean) O’Hara, Jonathon Uglum, Jenna Gilbert; his great-grandchildren, Corrie Juneau, Kylee O’Hara, and Aiden O’Hara; and his siblings, Carolyn (Bailey) Uglum and Kenneth Uglum. He is further survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Arnie is preceded in death by his parents, and his siblings, Frank, Richard, Karl, and Kathleen.
