Bonnie Sue Genzmer, 69, of Palmyra, WI passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at her home.
Bonnie was born on August 10, 1953 in New Berlin the daughter of Gordon and Maxine (Stukenburg) Genzmer. After graduating high school, Bonnie continued her schooling to become a licensed Beautician. She then moved out to California to experience a different way of life and cut hair in the Hollywood area. She enjoyed her time in California and fondly remembers interacting with movie stars and other famous people from those days. Bonnie eventually moved back to Wisconsin and remained there. Bonnie was a truly kind person. She was the type of person who would do anything she could for others. She was helpful and caring and just a joy to be around. The most important thing in Bonnie’s life was her family. She cared deeply for her siblings and had a special relationship with her older brother, Gary. He was her hero. She also treated her nieces and nephews as her own children and loved them dearly. Bonnie was a wonderful person and she will be dearly missed.
She is survived by: her siblings, Nancy Zylka of Indiana, Gary (Sharon) Genzmer of Mukwonago, WI, and Linda (Peter) Speiss of Palmyra, WI, and special friend Gene Bonofiglio. Bonnie is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by: her parents, and her brother, Dale Genzmer.
Memorials in Bonnie’s honor may be made to Opportunities Inc. of Fort Atkinson, WI.
