Brigitte Elfriede Harvey, 73, of Watertown, WI left her earthly home for Heaven on Friday, January 2, 2026 at Marquardt Health Center.
Brigitte was born on December 14, 1952 in Stuttgart, Germany the daughter of Wolfgang and Elisabeth (Raum) Stoeckle. She grew up in Germany and after completing her schooling, worked for the United States military in West Berlin, Germany. While Brigitte was working, she met a young soldier, Charles D. Harvey at an Army Chapel service and the two would later be married on July 27, 1977 with a formal wedding ceremony on September 17, 1977 at the Army Chapel in West Berlin. God blessed Chuck and Brigitte with two children, Miriam and Paul.
Brigitte worked in a number of different capacities during her life including: accounting, CNA work, baking, and dry-cleaning. The job she enjoyed most was being a wife, mother and homemaker, or as Brigitte would say, Domestic Engineer. She will be remembered for her sense of humor, her creativity, her strong will, and her giving and generous nature. Brigitte was always willing to use her time and talents to bless others. She used her sewing skills to mend clothing for friends and family as well as to make many book covers and other sewed goods as gifts. Above all else in Brigitte’s life was her love for her Lord and Savior, Jesus. Her faith in Christ effected every part of her life and was central to who she was and how she treated others. Brigitte’s family takes great comfort in the knowledge that they will see her again in Heaven.
She is survived by: her loving husband, Charles Harvey of Watertown; her daughter, Miriam (James) Taylor of Madison, her son, Paul (Abigail) Harvey of Watertown; her dear grandson, Charlie; her siblings, Christa Gorgas of Reutlingen, Germany, Hartmut (Karin) Stoeckle of Loechgau, Germany, and Anneliese Muller of Sindelfingen, Germany.
