Carl W. Haak

Carl W. Haak, 77, of Palmyra, WI, left his earthly home for Heaven on Monday, January 4, 2021 at his home with his loving wife at his side.

Carl was born on January 16, 1943 in Milwaukee, WI the son of William and Martha (Heinz) Haak. He grew up in the Milwaukee area and graduated from Milwaukee Tech High School. During his school years, Carl worked quite a bit on his brother-in-law’s farm. After graduation, Carl worked as a Hammer Operator at the Milwaukee Forge Company for the majority of his working career. On July 27, 1963, Carl was united in marriage to Sharon Heise in Milwaukee. The two would go on to enjoy 57 wonderful years of marriage and be blessed with 9 children. Carl and Sharon moved out to Palmyra in 1989. Carl was very hardworking and took excellent care of his family. He was a very loving husband and father, and provided well for all his family’s needs. Carl had a quiet and confident personality. He brought a sense of calm to his family and his quiet strength will be missed. For leisure, Carl enjoyed making Lego models and model trains. Faith was also very important to Carl. Carl and Sharon were long time members of Palmyra United Methodist Church. Carl was a good man and he will be dearly missed by those he leaves behind.

He is survived by: his loving wife, Sharon Haak; his 8 children, Jonathan Haak of Milwaukee, Elizabeth (Felix) Wilcox of Milwaukee, Terri (Randy) Rogal of Milwaukee, Kevin (Maggie) Haak of Milwaukee, Timothy (Erin) Haak of Fort Atkinson, Sarah Haak of Palmyra, Jamie Haak of Palmyra, and Matthew Haak of Palmyra; and his grandchildren, Rebecca Tukiendorf, Ryan Haak, Russell Rogal, and Jane Haak. He is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by: his parents, his dear son, Erik Haak, his siblings, Frieda and Fred, and his uncles, Albert and Paul.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Carl’s honor may be made to The Palmyra United Methodist Church.

A Funeral Service will be held to honor Carl’s life at 6:00PM on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at the Gibson Family Funeral Home in Palmyra, WI (320 W. Main St., Palmyra, WI 53156). Rev. Norman P. Bude will officiate the service. Visitation will be held from 4:00PM until the time of the service at the funeral home. Carl will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery in Milwaukee, WI during a private graveside service.
