Charles F. Christenson

Charles F. Christenson, 90, of Mukwonago, WI passed away on Sunday, April 6, 2025 at his home with his loving family by his side.

Charles was born on June 17, 1934 on the family farm in Mukwonago, the son of William and Esther (Schnitzler) Christenson. From a young age, Charles was interested in airplanes and flying. He began flying at the age of 16 with his first solo flight at 19. He started his working career as a plane mechanic and he would eventually make his passion his profession and worked as a Corporate Pilot for Harnischfeger and later Northwestern Mutual. Charles enjoyed a long career and would eventually retire on May 29, 1998. All throughout his life, Charles remained on the family farm and farmed the land for many years. For leisure, he was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt and fish. He went on many hunting and fishing trips all over the United States, including Alaska. Charles also loved riding motorcycles and took a few long trips on his bike and made good memories doing so. Charles will be remembered for his sharp wit, his ability to fix just about anything, and his love for his family. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and he will be dearly missed.

He is survived by: his five children, Heidi (Steve) Baugh of Lake Tahoe, CA, Missy (Kurt) Wegner of East Troy, WI, Margie (Bill) Canfield of Mukwonago, WI, Will (Jenny) Christenson of Mukwonago, WI and Ted (Johanna) Christenson of Mukwonago; his grandchildren, Haley, Adam (Chelsea), Mariel (Ryan), Daniel, Zach, and Austin; and his great-grandchildren, Bella, Khaleesi, Willow, Beau, Ozzie, Bryleigh, Ashlyn, Jackson, Bennett, Mila Noah and Shane. He is further survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Charles is preceded in death by his parents, and his two sisters, Julaine and Janet.

A Memorial Service to honor Charles’ life will be held at 7:00PM on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at the Gibson Family Funeral Home in Eagle, WI (499 Elkhorn Road, Eagle, WI 53119). Visitation will take place from 5:30PM until the time of service at the funeral home. Charles will be laid to rest in North Prairie Cemetery during a private family service.
