Cherisse Edmister

Osyrys Cherisse Edmister, 50, of Palmyra, WI passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at her home.

Cherisse was born on October 3, 1971 in Elmira, NY to Fred and Jane (Affeldt) Edmister. She was blessed with three children who she loved dearly. Cherisse was outgoing and generous. She had a heart for animals and rescued many dogs over the years. Most recently, she shared a special connection with her dog, Chester. She also was a strong supporter of the LGBTQ community. Cherisse will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends.

She is survived by: her daughter, Haven Edmister; True, who was like a son to her; her mother, Jane of Elmira, NY; her sister, Mary DeFalco of Oakville, CT; and her brothers, John (Gina) Edmister of Elmira, NY, and Joseph (Marie) Minotti of Rochester, NY. She is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her father and her sister Kathy.

A celebration of Cherisse’s life will be held at a later date.
