Dennis M. Erickson

Dennis Michael Erickson (Squinty), 41, Whitewater, WI passed away unexpectedly on Friday, November 3, 2023. 

He was born on May 11, 1982 in Lubbock, TX to Paul Erickson and Diane Kilian. They relocated to East Troy, WI where he attended school.

Dennis had many interests but the one he was most passionate about was music. His days and adventures were always filled with music because he believed Music is Life. Over the years, his music family grew from working at Alpine Valley, attending concerts regularly, camping out at annual music festivals, supporting local and national bands he loved through his many acts of generosity, and most of all becoming a member of the Shiprocked Family who were truly his second family. 

His quiet nature, laid-back demeanor, and just being a genuine man of integrity made him friends wherever he went and those friendships have endured for years. Just a few of his many other hobbies included catching some wind therapy on his Harley; performing a wicked nasty slice on the greens; making sure he queued up "his music" on the juke box on league nights so that everyone could enjoy it. He took this role so seriously that he passed up a season's worth of free jukebox selections he was offered if he would just play anything else. He was also sure to add his special Flair ( Wooooo!) to gaming especially while playing Diablo or Tecmo Super Bowl with The Guys (MB). And, of course he always looked forward to thawing out "real quick" every ice fishing season.

Dennis's professional career found him working for a few law firms, most recently at Bruck Law in Milwaukee, WI.

Dennis is survived by his daughter, Angel Erickson (Dustin VanEnkenvort), Watertown, WI; his partner in life, love, adventures and in the pit, E Marie Kerwin, Whitewater, WI; his mother, Diane Kilian (Philip Finkle), Hilton Head Island, SC; his father, Paul Erickson, Appleton, WI; his sister, Angela C Erickson-Brown (Caleb O. Brown; their children- Coraline, Cyrus, & Carver); his brother, Kevin Erickson ( his nephew Kasper; Amanda & Annabelle), Woodruff, WI; his aunts- Cynthia (Tom) Harkness, Woodstock, IL; Mary (Evan; their child, Darby) Nieder, Muretta, CA; his grandfather, Elmer Kilian, Eagle, WI; many extended family members and friends; and his extensive music/ Shiprocked family. Lastly, his fur babies- Yukon(DF), Harley & Smokey who thought he was the best cat dad ever.

Dennis was preceded in death by his grandmother, Carolyn Kilian, his Uncle Brian Kilian, and numerous other extended family members.

A Celebration of Dennis' life will be Saturday, November 18, 2023 from 12:00- 5:00 p.m. at Knuckleheads Pub and Grill (100 South Street Eagle, WI 53119). Please feel free to dress in your favorite music or Harley attire.
