Diane M. Eckstein

Diane M. Eckstein, 72, of Fort Atkinson, WI and previously of Palmyra, WI passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at her home.

Diane was born on January 3, 1953 in Kewaskum, WI the daughter of Milton and Elsie (Wickware) Flynn. She grew up in Kewaskum and after her schooling, moved to Dousman, WI. Diane would eventually settle in Palmyra where she lived for the majority of her life. Diane did factory work for the majority of her working career retiring from Cool Tools of Jefferson, WI in 2019. The job she enjoyed most though, was being a mother and grandmother. She spoiled her grandkids and they were the lights of her life. Diane had a quirky sense of humor and enjoyed a good laugh. For leisure, she liked to read, work on crossword puzzles, and occasionally make a trip to the casino. She also loved fresh vegetables and warm weather. Diane will be sincerely missed but her memory will live on through the lives of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by: her children, Scott (Tonya) Uglum of Nashotah, Jan (Daryl) Flannigan of Watertown, and Sara (Tyler) Kennedy of Fort Atkinson; her step-children, Charley (Martie) Eckstein and Carrie (Paul) Frantz of Waukesha; her sister, Debbie (Ron) Gensler of Three Lakes; her grandchildren, Kacy (Sean) O’Hara, Jonathon (Ashlyn) Uglum, Jenna Gilbert, Elliot Kennedy, Riley Kennedy, Alex Eckstein, Annabell Eckstein, Leo Eckstein, Josie Frantz, and Kameron Frantz; and her great-grandchildren Corrie Juneau, Kylee O’Hara, and Aiden O’Hara. She is further survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and her siblings, James, Judy and Larry.

Per Diane’s wishes, a private family service will be held.
