Gabriela Analena Mayes

Gabriela A. Mayes, 17, of Waukesha, WI passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at her home.

Gabi was born on July 30, 2007 in Milwaukee the daughter of Joel and Leticia (Ibarra) Mayes. She was entering in to her Senior year attending Waukesha West High School. Gabi was a bright and kind person. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family doing all sorts of activities. She had an artistic side and was an excellent painter and photographer. She also occasionally wrote poetry and was gifted with words. Gabi loved the outdoors and bonded with her dad and siblings through hunting. She was also a young woman of faith and her relationship with Jesus was the most important thing in her life. Her family takes comfort that she is safe in the arms of her Savior.

She is survived by: her loving parents, Joel and Leticia Mayes of Waukesha, her siblings, Jordan, Makayla (Dakota), Cullen (Petra), Christianna, Keenan (Delaney Vander Berg), and Kathryn; her grandparents, Noel and Patricia Mayes, Armando and Marlene Ibarra, and Beverly Ibarra.

She is preceded by her cat companion, Snowy.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, August 29, 2024 at White Stone Community Church of Oconomowoc, WI (2517 N Dousman Road, Oconomowoc, WI 53066) with the Rev. Tom Hocking presiding. Visitation will take place at the church from 10:00AM until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Gabi’s honor may be made to White Stone Community Church Building Fund, NAMI of Southeast Wisconsin, or The Waukesha Christmas Parade Memorial Fund.
