Gary W. Hermanson

Gary W. Hermanson, 70, of Palmyra, WI passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 14, 2024 at his home.

Gary was born on March 23, 1954 in Waukesha, WI the son of Lawrence and Irene (Lundgren) Hermanson. He was united in marriage to Catherine Cisler on August 14, 1978 in Waukesha and the two went on to enjoy 45 years together. God blessed Gary and Cathy with four children, Jeremy, Eric, Josiah, and Teraesa. Gary worked in a few different capacities during his working career and retired as an Electrical Engineer from the Unico Company. Gary took pride in his work and providing for his family. Above all else in Gary’s life was his love for his wife, children, and grandchildren. He greatly enjoyed spending time with those closest to him. Gary had a quiet personality but was quick-witted and skilled in the art of sarcasm. For leisure, he enjoyed hiking and being outdoors in his younger years and more recently liked to tinker in his garage. Gary will be dearly missed but his family takes comfort in the fact that he is with his Savior in Heaven.

He is survived by: his loving wife, Cathy Hermanson of Palmyra; three children, Eric Hermanson of Waukesha, Josiah Hermanson of Milwaukee, and Teraesa Hermanson of Waukesha; his two precious granddaughters, Sienna and Avelyn; and his sister, Carol Kline of Arizona. He is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Gary is preceded in death by his parents, his loving son, Jeremy, his sister, Phyllis Zimmerman, and his brother, Larry Hermanson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gary’s family.

A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at the Kettle Moraine Community Church in North Prairie, WI. The Rev. Tom Hocking will officiate the service. Visitation will take place from 10:00AM until the time of service at the church. Gary will be laid to rest in North Prairie Cemetery immediately following the funeral service.
