Gary G. Riggs, 65, of Palmyra, Wisconsin passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at Rainbow Hospice in Johnson Creek,
Gary was born on September 22, 1961 in Fort Atkinson the son of Byron Dale and Mary Colleen (Murphy) Riggs. He grew up in Palmyra and graduated from Palmyra High School with the class of 1980. Gary worked as an electrician and in the construction industry for the majority of his working career. He was blessed with 5 children, Chris, Nicole, Daniel, Trevor and Taylor. Gary will be remembered for his great sense of humor and love for jokes, his deep appreciation of good music, and his zest for life. He was the life of the party and knew how to throw a great one! Above all else in Gary’s life was his love for his family. He was a loving dad and was especially proud and fond of his grandchildren and great-grandchild. Gary will be deeply missed by those he leaves behind.
He is survived by: his children, Chris, Nicole, Daniel (Michelle), Trevor (Amber Saunders), and Taylor (Joseph); his dear grandchildren, Alex, Jayden, Shayna, Landyn, Rayna, Kaylee, Michael, Jessica, Jaxon, Charlotte, Brooklyn, Braxton, and Oliver; his great-granddaughter, Evelyn; and his siblings, Karen Riggs of San Antonio, TX, Kenneth (Lisa) Riggs of Watertown, Suzanne Riggs of Janesville, Sandra (Robert) Douglas of Hartland, and John (Cindi-Sue) Riggs of Palmyra. Gary is further survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Diane, and his dear cousin, Thad.
A Celebration of Gary’s life will be held at a later date.
