Gregory J. Spencer

Gregory J. Spencer, 74, of East Troy, WI passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 23, 2025 with his loving family by his side.

Greg was born on July 20, 1951 in Milwaukee the son of Theodore and Genevieve (Wahl) Spencer. He grew up in the Milwaukee area and was a 1969 graduate of Hamilton High School. Greg married Jeanne Hilger on August 26, 1978 in Butler, WI and God blessed their union with four daughters, Jamie, Shawna, Laura, and Nicki. Greg worked in a few different capacities during his life; he was a coil winder for Cooper Power Systems and an IT professional for First Star Bank for the majority of his working career. Greg was a man of strong faith and studied God’s Word passionately. He was a gifted teacher and loved to help others grow in their faith. Greg served his local church as an elder for many years and for the last 15 years of his career, served in local churches as a minister and pastor. Greg had a heart for others and loved to share the good news of the Gospel. He was also passionate about music and in his younger years played bass and other instruments in a few different bands, he would later use his love for music to serve in his church and lead worship services. Greg will be remembered for his kindness toward others, his outgoing and friendly personality, his deep love for his family and his strong faith in Jesus as his Savior. He will be deeply missed by those he leaves behind.

He is survived by: his loving wife of 47 years, Jeanne Spencer of East Troy, his dear children, Jamie (Jason) Reuschlein of Eagle, Shawna (Mark) Scott of Arden, NC, Laura (Mike) Jacobson of Eagle, and Nicki (Matt) Krahn of East Troy; his eight grandchildren, Millie, Kian, Tucker, Declan, Charlie, Evelyn, Emberlee, and Rachel; his cherished chosen children, Zach, Jacob and Beccah; and his sister, Pam (the late Charlie) Pritchard of Niagara, Wisconsin.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Genevieve “Gene” Spencer.

A private family service will be held to honor Greg’s life.
