Ian J. Weiberg, age 30, of Eagle, WI passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 in New Berlin.
Ian was born on August 16, 1994 in Oconomowoc the son of Jay and Peggy (Bucheger) Weiberg. He grew up in the Eagle area and graduated from Palmyra Eagle High School and continued his studies at Waukesha County Technical College studying Tool and Die. While in school, Ian began working for Sumitomo Electric Carbide, Inc of New Berlin and enjoyed a ten-year career there. Ian was skilled at his job and took pride in his work. He made a positive impact on his co-workers and enjoyed the relationships he made at his company. Outside of work, Ian loved to be outdoors enjoying Wisconsin and all it had to offer. His happy place was up North at the family cabin. Ian enjoyed hunting, especially grouse hunting, fishing, hiking, kayaking the rivers up North and just enjoying God’s beautiful creation. He made many good memories with his dad fishing up north on the river as well as taking many hunting trips with his cousins. He also loved music and played guitar. Some of his favorite bands were Metallica and Santana. One of his favorite vacations was when he and his dad went to see Santana perform in Concert in Las Vegas. He also was very proud of the work he did to rebuild a motorcycle given to him by his dad. He also loved gadgets and tinkering with them. Ian was a good man and had faith in God. He will be dearly missed but forever remembered by those he leaves behind.
He is survived by: his loving parents, Jay and Peggy Weiberg of Eagle, WI; his siblings, Tara (Mike) McKuen of Deerfield, Walter Weiberg of Milwaukee, and Bridget Wieberg of West Allis. He is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, Paul and Florence Bucheger and Walter and Virginia Weiberg, and his cousins, Jenna Peterson and Zackary Weiberg.
A Celebration of Ian’s life will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at the Gibson Family Funeral Home in Eagle, WI (499 Elkhorn Road, Eagle, WI 53119). Visitation will take place from 11:00AM until the time of service at the funeral home.
