Irene Turner, 74, of Sullivan, WI passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2023 at her home.
Irene was born on August 31, 1949 in Corpus Christie, Texas the daughter of Jesus and Celestina (Cantu) Cardenas. On March 26, 1982, Irene was united in marriage to the love of her life, Alan Turner in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan and the two would go on to enjoy more than 41 years of marriage together. Irene was blessed with five children, Esteban, Barbara, Juanita, Victoria, and Alexandra
A majority of Irene’s professional experience was spent working within Retail Management.
Irene was a vibrant person and had a charismatic personality. She lived her life with passion and was very friendly and welcoming to everyone she met.
Irene lived her life with many interests and hobbies. This included landscaping her yard, growing both vegetables, flowers and taking care of her animals. She was also gifted artistically and enjoyed drawing, crafting, and making clothing.
Above all else was her love for her family. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She touched many people and she will be missed but forever remembered by those she leaves behind.
She is survived by: her loving husband, Alan Turner; her children, Esteban (Dawn) Hernandez, Barbara (Steven) Koeckritz, Juanita (Michael) Howard, Victoria (Justin Lohr) Turner, and Alexandra Turner (Greg Griffin); her three grandchildren, Avalon (Zach) Walton, LQ McDonald IV, and Norah Lohr; and her brother, Oscar (Antonia) Cardenas. She is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and 10 brothers and a sister.
Visitation will be on Sunday, October 15, 2023 from 3:00 PM until the time of service at the Gibson Family Funeral Home in Eagle, WI, 499 Elkhorn Road, Eagle, WI 53119. Then a celebration of Irene’s life will take place at 5:00 PM.
