James W. Noe, 81, of LaGrange, WI and previously of Mukwonago, WI (for over 30years) passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 29, 2025 at his home.
Jim was born on May 2, 1944 in Milwaukee. He was the son of John and Grace (Colby) Noe. He grew up in the West Allis area and graduated from Nathan Hale High School with the class of 1962. From a young age, Jim worked at his family’s service station in West Allis and developed mechanical skills that would serve him the rest of his life. He had a love for vehicles and machines of all kinds and Jim owned so many classic cars over his life that he lost count. He was especially fond of Chevrolet and had quite a few Corvettes and Camaros over the years. He was a member of the West Allis Outlaws car club, for over 50 years.
On September 20, 1969 he was united in marriage to Kathleen Ritter at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Waukesha and the Lord blessed Jim and Kathy with two sons, Justin and Kevin. Jim worked as an engineering manager for the majority of his working career and took pride in his work and providing for his family. He also faithfully served his country in the Army, the Air Force and the National Guard. Jim had a special connection with his pet dogs; his shepherds and labs brought him a lot of joy over his life. Above all else in Jim’s life was his love for his family. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and he will be deeply missed.
He is survived by: his loving wife of 56 years, Kathleen Noe Nee-Ritter, of LaGrange; his sons Justin (Michelle) Noe of Genesee, and Kevin (Whitney) Noe of North Prairie; his grandchildren, Mary Lynn, Vivian Rose, Malina Anne, and a baby boy on the way; and his sister, Kathleen (the late Robert) Nehm of Green Lake, & their 5 children.
Jim is further survived by a number of other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Grace Noe and his parents-in-law, John and Katherine Ritter.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, January 31, 2026 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Palmyra, WI. Visitation will take place from 10:00AM until the time of Mass at the church. Jim will be laid to rest in Holy Apostles Cemetery of New Berlin during a private family service.
