James A. “Jim” Olson, 54 of Palmyra, passed away on Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at Aurora Medical Center in Summit.
Jim was born September 1, 1967, in Oconomowoc, the son of Phillip and Lorraine (Winkleman) Olson. He was a 1985 graduate of Arrowhead High School and on August 27, 1994, Jim married Kandi Klein in Oconomowoc and the two spent 27 years together. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in East Troy. Jim was larger than life and could light up any room with his friendly personality. Kind, humble and hardworking, he spent many years working for General Electric and was also the Dam keeper on Blue Spring Lake in Palmyra. In his free time, Jim enjoyed dancing in his younger years and fishing with his kids. Above all else, Jim was a selfless man who was incredibly proud of his family, and he will be deeply missed.
Jim is survived by: his mother Lorraine of Hartland; his wife Kandi of Palmyra; children Allen Olson of Palmyra, Alexis Olson of Palmyra, and Aaron Olson of Palmyra; brother Scott (Gail) Olson of Dousman; nieces and nephews Jenny Olson (great nephew Miles Olson), Jeff Olson, and Becky Olson; Jim is also survived by a number of other relatives and many friends.
Jim is preceded in death by his father.
A memorial service in honor of Jim’s life will be held at 12:30 PM Saturday, December 18, 2021 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in East Troy. Visitation will be on Saturday from 11:00-12:30. Luncheon to follow at St. Pauls' Lutheran Church. Jim will be laid to rest at 4:00PM on Saturday at Hartland Village Cemetery in Hartland.
