Jerry Pellmann passed away peacefully at his home on August 22, 2025. Jerry was born on January 12, 1960 to Lyle Sr & Katherine (Draskovich) Pellmann in Elkhorn. He was number eleven of thirteen children. Jerry grew up in rural East Troy and Jefferson. Jerry graduated from Jefferson High School in 1978. At a young age he worked for neighbors and became very skilled at everything from cars to plumbing. He was an over the road truck driver for a few years but his passion was farming and the love of the land. He was in the tractor just months before his passing. You just can't take the farmer out of a man.
Jerry's faith was shown in his actions. He was a loving and devoted husband to his wife, Carolyn (Carie Schluter). They were married at St Luke's in Rome on August 9, 1997 and just celebrated their 28th wedding anniversary. He was the father he didn't have to be to their two sons, Brandon (Rachel) and Justin (Katelyn) Thom. He may have never said it but he was so proud of the men and fathers they have become. He was a mentor, listener, fixer and fabricator. He could honestly fix or repair anything that was broken with anything. He would do this for anyone in the family or neighborhood that needed it. He would drop everything to come to their aid.
Jerry would often say, "Do they all think I am the Shell Answer Man?" And he was.
Our daughter in law, Katelyn said it best as he was a "tough love" kind of guy. If you messed up you knew it, but then he taught you the correct way. He was stern and stubborn but man did he love even though he very seldom said the words.
Being a "Bumpa" was his greatest joy to his six grandchildren, MacKenzie, Aidan, Cameron, Brynn, KealyAnn and Hadley Thom. He loved teaching them to shoot, fish, hunt, farm, drive tractors, work in the fields and just plain work hard. All of them will miss him as he left a great hole in their hearts.
His surviving siblings include, Barabara Magrosky, Charlotte Kutz, Janice (Lee) Kampstad, Dale (Connie) Pellmann, Lee (Linda) Pellmann, Scott Pellmann and Pamela Schroedl. In-Laws, Dale (Sharon) Schluter and Sandy (Theodore) Krauss Sr. Brother-In Laws, Steven (Theresa) Schluter, Ted Jr (Beth) Krauss, Robert Krauss and Jeffery (Shari) Krauss and Tod(Julie) Fleming and Steve(Penny) Fleming. Sister-In- Laws, Patricia (Ken) Klettke, Karen (William) Stade and Linda Crosby. He also has many nieces, nephews, great and great-greats along with so many special friends and neighbors.
He was predeceased by his parents, infant sister Patti, brothers Lyle Jr and Tracy Pellmann and sisters Inez Gunter and Lois Henze.
The family would like to thank Rainbow Hospice for the excellent care and support the last few months. Their compassion is beyond anything we could have asked for.
