Jose Antonio Soto Salazar

Jose Antonio Soto Salazar, 41, of Whitewater, WI passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 8, 2023.

Jose was born on June 3, 1982 in Jaumave, Tamaulipas, Mexicothe son of Evaristo Soto Espinosa and Ana Saazar Ramirez. He grew up in Matias Garcia, Tamaulipas, and after completing his schooling, learned to work as a mechanic. Jose was blessed with six children, Jorge, Jose, Emily, Hannah, Guadalupe, and Tadeo. He was a proud father and loved to work and provide for his family. Jose had a happy and bright personality. He will be remembered for his big smile and kindness toward all he met. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by: his wife, Astridd Vanessa Castro Barrones, his six children; his mother, Ana, his six brothers, and one sister. 

He is preceded in death by his father.

A Visitation will take place from 5:00PM until 8:00PM on Friday, August 11, 2023 at the Gibson Family Funeral Home in Palmyra, WI (320 W. Main St. Palmyra, WI 53156). Jose will be laid to rest in Mexico at a later date.
