Judson H. Doman, 94, of Eagle, WI passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at Ridgestone Terrace in Elkhorn, WI.
Jud was born on March 31, 1929 in Milwaukee, WI the son of Judson A. and Angeline (Caspary) Doman. He grew up on the family farm in Eagle and would remain there for the majority of his life. After his schooling, Judson faithfully served two years in the United States Army, receiving a good conduct medal. He married Jeanne Gorman (nee Schmidt) on 7/27/1974 in Milwaukee, WI and the two would go on to enjoy more than 48 years of marriage together. Judson was a quiet and hardworking man. He was devoted to his work and took great pride in providing for his family. His career encompassed many different types of farming. He started with dairy cows, then raised steers and pigs for butchering, and would later focus on crop farming. He was partial toward John Deere Tractors and had quite a few during his career. After retiring at the age of 75, he enjoyed spending time with his wife and family, spending winters in Mission TX, playing cards with friends, and dancing with Jeanne on Saturday nights. Jud was a good man and he will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by: his 4 step-children, Colleen (Keith) Lofy of Lake Geneva, WI, Patrick O’Gorman of Fort Atkinson, WI, Michael (Kelly) Gorman of Fort Atkinson, WI, and Erin (the late Kennon) Bradley of Napa Valley, CA; his 16 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; and his sister, Patricia (Ronald) Koeske of Swartz Creek, MI. He is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by: his parents, his loving wife, Jeanne Doman, his brother, Bill (the late Ruth) Doman, and his sister, Marian (the late Donald) Trost.
Memorials in Jud’s honor may be made to St. Theresa Catholic Church of Eagle, WI.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at the Gibson Family Funeral Home in Eagle, WI (499 Elkhorn Road, Eagle, WI 53119). Fr. Jordan Berghouse will officiate the service. Visitation will take place from 10:00AM until the time of service at the funeral home. Jud will be laid to rest at a later date in Oakwood Cemetery of Greensboro, AL.
