Kathleen M. Machan

Kathleen M. Machan, 76, of Eagle, Wisconsin passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 8, 2026, at her home. 

Kathleen was born in Milwaukee, WI, the daughter of William and Rita (Wierzbicki) Machan. She grew up in the West Allis area and graduated from St. Mary’s Catholic Academy. She then continued her education at Purdue University. Kathleen was blessed with two children, Melissa and Rebecca. She would eventually earn her Master of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater while working full time and raising her two daughters. Kathleen enjoyed a career in business administration for several different non-profits, retiring in 2010. She took pride in her organization skills and strong work ethic. Kathleen will be remembered for her inner strength, and her attention to detail. She was a perpetual learner who loved to travel and discover new places. She also enjoyed listening to music and sharing music with her friends and family. Kathleen also shared a special connection with her canine companion, Loki and loved him dearly. She had a spicy and confident personality and was fiercely proud of her family. Kathleen was a devoted mother and grandmother and was at her best when surrounded by those closest to her. She will be deeply missed. 

She is survived by: her two daughters and their spouses, Melissa Kalt (Matthew) and Rebecca Herbst (Kevin); five grandchildren: Grace, Charles, Faith, Therese, and George. Kathleen is also survived by her sister, Patricia Nimtz, and brother, Tim Machan. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Michael Machan. 

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at the St. Theresa Catholic Church in Eagle, Wisconsin. Fr. Denny Jacob will officiate the mass. A family Eulogy and Remembrance will begin at 10:45AM. Visitation will take place on Wednesday from 10:00AM until the time of service at the church. A luncheon will follow the service in the church hall.
