Kenneth A. Tietz

Kenneth A. Tietz, 72, of Palmyra, WI passed away at his home on Saturday, September 14, 2024.

Ken was born on May 20, 1952 in Fort Atkinson, WI the oldest son of Gordon and Helen (Grant) Tietz. He grew up in Palmyra and was a 1970 graduate of Palmyra High School. Ken married Colleen Johnston on August 31, 1974 and the two enjoyed 50 years of marriage together. Ken worked in production and maintenance in Fort Atkinson for 43 years retiring in 2015. Ken was good natured and kind. He never hesitated to help a friend, neighbor or family member in need. He was skilled with his hands and could make or fix just about anything. He will be dearly missed but forever remembered by those he leaves behind.

He is survived by: his loving wife of 50 years, Colleen Tietz of Palmyra; his siblings, Allen (Deb) Tietz of Palmyra, and Susan (Randy) Thorman of Hebron, WI. He is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Ken is preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Jerry.

A Memorial Service will be held at 12 Noon on Friday, September 27, 2024 at the Gibson Family Funeral Home in Palmyra, WI (320 W. Main Street, Palmyra, WI 53156). Visitation will take place from 10:00AM until the time of service at the funeral home. Ken will be laid to rest during a private family burial in Skoponong Cemetery in Palmyra immediately following the service. A reception will follow the burial.
