Linda L. Leppla

Linda L. Leppla, 81, of Dousman, WI passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at AngelsGrace Hospice Center in Oconomowoc.

Linda was born on December 14, 1942 in Milwaukee the daughter of Stephan and Henrietta (Rendenbach) Budnik. She grew up in the Milwaukee area and later moved out to Brookfield. Linda graduated from Mount Mary University of Milwaukee with a bachelor’s degree. During her time in college, she met Gerald Leppla and the two would later be married on April 25, 1964 in Butler, WI. God blessed Linda and Jerry with three children, Lesley, Jeffrey, and Andrew. Linda worked as an occupational therapist for the majority of her working career and she enjoyed helping others through her work. After their retirement, Linda and Jerry moved to Colorado and made many wonderful memories together there before moving back to Dousman in 2012. For leisure, Linda enjoyed reading and spending time with her family and friends. She also had a special connection with animals and was especially fond of her pet dogs. Above all else in her life was her love for her family. She was at her best surrounded by those closest to her. Linda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend and she will be deeply missed by those she leaves behind.

She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Gerald Leppla of Dousman and her three children, Lesley (Phillip) Burchett of Hartland, Jeffrey (Carol) Leppla of Mukwonago, and Andrew (Karen) Leppla of Merton. She is also survived by her four dear grandchildren, Ryan, Mikala, Amara, and Austin as well as several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Linda’s honor may be made to AngelsGrace Hospice Center of Oconomowoc, WI.

Visitation will take place from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at the Gibson Family Funeral Home in Eagle, WI (499 Elkhorn Road, Eagle, WI 53119). A short memorial service will be held at 5:00 PM at the funeral home and Pastor Aaron Meyer of Shepherd of the Hills Church Pewaukee will officiate. Linda will be laid to rest in Oak Ridge Cemetery of Eagle during a private family service.
