Linda Rose Sorensen, 73, of Palmyra, WI and previously of Key West, FL passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2020 at her home.
Linda was born on November 5, 1946 in Waukesha the daughter of Alexander and Arvilla (Thiel) Sorensen. She grew up in the Palmyra area and graduated from Palmyra High School. A few years after high school, Linda moved to Florida and lived there for the majority of her life. Linda had a great interest and love affair with the Culinary Industry and owned, operated and managed many different types of restaurants throughout her career. Her career choice was a labor of love that fit her to a tee. She was a talented chef and great with people. Linda had a spicy and outgoing personality. Her loving family refers to her as a social butterfly. Linda moved back to the Palmyra area in 2015 after the death of her beloved life partner, Allan Merrill. She spent the rest of her days with her family. For leisure, she enjoyed traveling and anything to do with food. She will be missed by those she leaves behind.
She is survived by her siblings, Norman (Carole) Sorensen, and Sharon Simpson; and her sister-in-law, Claudia Sorensen. She is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her life partner, Allan, her dear brother, William Sorensen, and a beloved niece, Carrie Sorensen.
A private memorial gathering will be held for Linda when the Covid-19 restrictions have lifted.
