Lucille Casey Obituary

Lucille V. Casey, 95, of Bayside, WI and previously of Eagle, WI passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at The Elizabeth Residence in Bayside with her loving family by her side.

Lucille was born on October 12, 1924 in Aurora, IL the daughter of Matthew and Susan (Hoffman) Armbrust. She grew up in the Aurora area and graduated from East Aurora High School.  On January 12, 1946 she married her loving husband, N. Wayne Casey in Aurora. The Lord blessed their union with 5 children. Wayne and Lucille moved to the Eagle area in 1956 and farmed for many years. Lucille was a capable woman and took care of her home and was happy to assist in farm chores as well. Lucille’s Catholic faith was an important part of her life as well and she was a long time parishioner at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Eagle. For leisure, she enjoyed driving tractor, and working in her garden. She was a skilled cook and loved to make all types of foods for her family to enjoy. Whether it was homemade jam, vegetables that she canned herself or holiday meals, she kept her family well fed. She also enjoyed playing cards and games with her friends and family, and had a bit of a competitive streak. In her later years, she and Wayne enjoyed escaping the Wisconsin winters in Texas. Above all else, Lucille enjoyed being around her family. Her family was at the center of her life and they were most important. Her loving family will miss her dearly.

She is survived by: her 3 sons, Donald, Jim, and Ken (Linda) Casey; her son-in-law Bob Anderson; Mary Casey; her sister, Arlene Pierce; her 10 grandchildren; and her 23 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a number of other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by: her parents; her loving husband of over 70 years, N. Wayne Casey; her son, Richard Casey; her daughter, Mary Anderson; her daughter-in-law Kathy Casey; her grandson, Joshua Casey; and her brother, Raymond Armbrust.
