Maxwell Thomas Thiemer, age 19, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at his home.
Max was born on August 2, 2006 in Milwaukee the son of Gerald and Tina (Grooms) Thiemer. He grew up in the Palmyra area and was a 2025 graduate of Palmyra Eagle High School. Max was known by his schoolmates to be quite the prankster and he loved to make his friends laugh with his jokes. One of Max’s favorite activities was to ride around the village and say hello to the residents. He had a lot of energy and a zest for life. Some of his other interests include: boating, fishing, camping, and racing his R/C cars and boats. Max will be remembered for his outspokenness and his good sense of humor. He will be dearly missed by those he leaves behind.
Max is survived by: his loving parents, Jerry Thiemer and Tina Grooms of Palmyra; his siblings, Beth (Jaz) Crawford of LaCrosse, Danielle Grooms of DePere, and Angela Grooms-Chartier of Fort Atkinson. Max is further survived by three nieces and one nephew.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Samuel Grooms and his grandmothers, Barbara Grooms and Janice Torgerson.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:30PM on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at the Gibson Family Funeral Home in Palmyra, WI (320 W. Main Street, Palmyra, WI 53156). Visitation will take place from 11:00AM until the time of service.
