Michael E. Ferris

Michael E. Ferris, 64, of North Prairie, WI passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at his home.

Mike was born on March 2, 1960 in Chicago IL the son of Frank and Ruth (Peardon) Ferris. At a young age, Mike and his family moved to Waukesha and would later move out to North Prairie to the family farm. Mike loved growing up on the farm and took an interest in equipment and machines from a young age. This interest would stick with him for the rest of his life through his work and his hobbies. Mike graduated from Mukwonago High School in 1978. After his schooling, Mike began working as a mechanic and fabricator and would continue this occupation for most of his working career. For leisure, Mike enjoyed working on farm equipment, attending auctions and other outdoor activities. He also enjoyed being a member of a truck pull team with his brother Paul, and the two made good memories working on their pull trucks and going pulling at fairs and other events. Mike was a good man and a great “pet papa” to Ruthie, Lily and Bea. He will be sincerely missed by those he leaves behind.

He is survived by: his fiancé, Lori, his mother, Ruth Ferris of St Augustine, FL; his siblings, Marie (Michael) Garnes of St Augustine, FL, and Paul Ferris of Lannon, WI; he is also survived by his aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Frank Ferris.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at the Gibson Family Funeral Home in Eagle, WI (499 Elkhorn Road, Eagle, WI 53119). Visitation will be held from 11:00am until the time of the service at the funeral home. A reception will follow the service.
