Michael B. Kuchar, 91, of West Allis, passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2024 at his home with his loving family by his side.
Michael was born on December 24, 1932 in Chicago, IL the oldest child of Michael and Helen (Kaczmarek) Kuchar. He grew up in the Chicago area and after his schooling faithfully served his country in the United States Army. Michael served in Korea in 1950 through 1951. After an honorable discharge, Michael returned to Chicago where he met Genora Stanfill at a church function. The two were married six months later on March 13, 1954 at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Chicago. God blessed their union with five children and 70 years of marriage together. Michael owned and operated his own business as a Plastics Fabricator and enjoyed his work very much. He took pride in his career and was naturally gifted, Mike could visualize and create whatever the client needed and made sure his clients were satisfied with the products they received. Service to others was important to Mike. Not only did he serve in the military and serve his clients at work, but he continued his service at his church, Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church (now Mother of Perpetual Help) as the director of the Food Pantry there, and in his community as a lifelong member and past president of the local VFW Post 1912. Mike was an active member at Immaculate Heart of Mary for most of his life and enjoyed being involved in his local parish. Above all else in Mike’s earthly life was his love for his family. He was a committed and proud husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great grandfather and his best times were spent surrounded by those he loved. In his own words, he was very thankful and blessed to be able to see his children raise families of their own and he was glad to be able to be close with his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Mike is survived by: his loving wife of 70 years, Genora Kuchar of West Allis, WI; his children, Rita (Mark) Schmid of Random Lake, WI, Helen (Mike) Lisinski of Eagle, WI, Michelle (Bruce) Raabe of Texas, Michael (Karen) Kuchar of Menomonee Falls, WI, and Dan Kuchar of Mazomanie, WI; his grandchildren, Steven (Megan), Brian (Kimberly), Deanna (Travis), Jeffrey (Molly), Christopher (Carrie Wicht), Luke, Kristen (Jerry), Karla (Kyle), Jon, Sarah, David, Chris, Joey, Alicia, Katie, Laura, Ryan, Marina, and Sarah; and his siblings, Bill (Ordie) Kuchar of Chicago, IL, and Mia (Tim) McKenna of Chicago, IL; Mike is also survived by a large number of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren as well as a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
