Michael J. Musiak

Michael J. Musiak, 61, of Elkhorn, WI and previously of Palmyra, WI passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at his home.

Mike was born on June 18, 1963 in Hartford, Connecticut the son of John and Carole (Rau) Musiak. He moved to the Waukesha area with his family during his childhood and graduated from Waukesha South High School. After high school, Mike continued his education at the University of Wisconsin – Superior and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Physics. While in school, he met Sandra Voss and the two would later marry on July 11, 1992 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Waukesha. Mike worked at Generac as a CMM Programmer and was excellent at his job. When Mike wasn’t working, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, listening to good music, and enjoying the outdoors. Whether it was hiking, camping, or attending a concert, Mike was always glad to be outside enjoying God’s creation. Mike was also a passionate snowmobiler and was at his best riding his sled on the trails. Mike was smart, funny, hardworking, and caring and he will be deeply missed.

He is survived by: his loving wife of 32 years, Sandra Musiak of Elkhorn, WI; his mother, Carole Musiak of Waukesha, his sister, Karen Musiak of Madison; his siblings-in-law, Steven (Stephanie) Voss of NC, Vicki (the late Jeffrey) Shafran of Brillion, Timothy (Joyce) Voss of TX, Christi (Bob) Lasher of MT, Mary (Mike) Roger of WY, Eddie (Tracy) Voss of West Allis, and Amy (John) Dickenson of MN; and his father-in-law, Edward Voss of Brillion. Mike is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, John Musiak, his mother-in-law Betty (James) Voss and brother-in-law Mike Voss.

A Celebration of Mike’s life will be held from 1:00PM until 2:30PM on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at the Gibson Family Funeral Home in Palmyra, WI (320 W. Main Street, Palmyra, WI 53156). A Prayer Service will start at 2:30PM and a reception will follow the prayer service.
