Richard J. Niemi

Richard J. Niemi, 71, of Milwaukee passed away unexpectedly in April, 2026 at his home.

Richard was born on November 5, 1954 the son of William and June (Shepley ) Niemi. After completing his schooling, Richard worked for the General Motors Company in manufacturing for the majority of his working career. God blessed Richard with two children, Nicole and Joseph. He will be remembered for his work ethic, his skill with his hands, and his good sense of humor. Richard will be missed by those he leaves behind.

He is survived by: his two children, Nicole Niemi and Joseph Niemi, both of Palmyra; his grandson, Richard J. Niemi II and his niece, Sherry Dzik of Beach Park, IL. He is further survived by a number of other relatives and friends.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents, and two siblings, Trudy and Bill.

A private family service will be held to honor Richard’s life at a later date.
