Robert R. Cichantek

Robert R. Cichantek, 69, of Palmyra, WI passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at his home. 

Bob was born on August 9, 1951 in Palmyra, WI the son of John and Elizabeth (Sobolik) Cichantek. He grew up in Palmyra and during his high school years moved to Milwaukee. Bob graduated from South Division High School in Milwaukee and after high school he enlisted in the United States Navy and faithfully served his country. Bob worked on the railroad as a laborer for the majority of his working career. After his retirement, he worked part time as security for S & R Egg Farm of Whitewater. Bob was a good man with a good heart. He was helpful, kind, and a friend to all. He was nicknamed "Bear", short for "Teddy Bear", by his friends. He earned this nickname for his size coupled with his gentle and friendly personality. He will be missed and remembered by those he leaves behind. 

Robert is survived by: his 8 siblings, Dolores Grabarczyk of Summerville, SC, Rosalie (Herman) Ceschi of Lake Geneva, WI, Robert Cleveland of San Diego, CA, Sophie Lazzaro of San Diego, CA, Pauline Rapp of Watertown, WI, Elaine Walling of Jefferson, WI, Joann (Donald) Beaver of Palmyra, WI, and Maryann (James) Abbasi of Cedar Rapids, IA. He is also survived by a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Phyllis, and his brother, Paul.

Military Honors for Robert will be held at 1:00PM on Sunday, November 15, 2020 at the Gibson Family Funeral Home in Palmyra, WI (320 W. Main St. Palmyra, WI 53156).
