Robert D. Younger

Robert “Bob” D. Younger, 62, of Eagle, WI passed away on Friday, January 10, 2025 at his home with his family by his side.

Bob was born on August 17, 1962 in Milwaukee, the son of Peter and Annice (Whidden) Younger. He grew up in the Milwaukee area and moved out to Eagle in 1980. Bob graduated from Pius XI Catholic High School in Milwaukee and continued his schooling at Marquette University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in nursing. Bob married Diane Losinski on October 6, 1990 at St. Catherine of Augustine Catholic Church in Milwaukee. Bob and Diane lived in Milwaukee for the first ten years of their marriage and would move out to the Eagle area in 1999 where they would build their home and raise their family. God blessed Bob and Diane with two children, Jenneca and Charlie. Bob worked as a nurse for a few years before deciding to pivot into his real passion of being an artist. Bob’s medium was chainsaw art and he created many beautiful works during his long career. Bob loved what he did and used his talents to provide for his family and also serve others. He was a very giving person and a proud supporter of his local community and different charities. He had a desire to share his gifts with others and created many pieces for charity and fundraisers over the years. He was even able to sponsor a few families’ trips to Disney World through the Make-A-Wish foundation. Bob loved traveling all across the Midwest doing carving shows and getting to meet and talk to so many new people. He will always be remembered for his kind warmth, his outgoing personality and his ability to make almost anyone smile. Bob was a wonderful man who is already so greatly missed by friends and family.

He is survived by: his loving wife of 34 years, Diane Younger of Eagle; his two dear children, Jenneca Younger of Milwaukee, and Charlie Younger (and his wife Andrea Younger) of West Allis; and his two siblings, Kathy Younger (and her wife Melinda Burns) of McFarland, WI, and Lloyd Younger (and his wife Kate Younger) of Mukwonago. Bob is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his parents-in-law.

Memorials in Bob’s honor may be made to Milwaukee Urban Forestry Fund in lieu of flowers.

A Visitation for Bob will take place from 5:00PM until 8:00PM on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at the Gibson Family Funeral Home in Eagle, WI (499 Elkhorn Road, Eagle, WI 53119). A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at St. Theresa Catholic Parish in Eagle, WI (136 W. Waukesha Road, Eagle, WI 53119). Fr. Jordan Berghouse will officiate the mass. Visitation will take place on Wednesday from 10:00AM until the time of mass at the church.
