Robert "Bob" Dale Butzke

Robert D. Butzke, 71, of Eagle, WI left his earthly home for Heaven on Thursday, May 16, 2019.

Bob was born on May 15, 1948 in Watertown, WI the son of Lester and Gladys (Bartelt) Butzke. After graduating high school, Bob faithfully served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam era. Following an honorable discharge, he worked as a machinist at various companies throughout his working career. He continued to serve his country with over 15 years of service with Company D 127th Infantry Wisconsin Army National Guard based in Oconomowoc. Bob’s loving family remembers his interest in movies and music. He also enjoyed playing with the latest gadgets and electronics, even though they sometimes frustrated him. Bob enjoyed dye cast cars and trucks and had a large collection. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and close friends. Whether it was one of the countless fireside chats in his neighbor’s backyard, or the annual New Year’s Eve party in his retro basement, Bob enjoyed the company of those closest to him. Above all else, Bob was a man of faith. He studied God’s word daily. He was “UB” to his beloved nieces, and a loving brother and friend and he will be dearly missed.

Bob is survived by: his sister Carol Tritz of Waukesha, WI; 2 nieces, Lori Tritz and Tammy Tritz, both of Waukesha, WI; an uncle, Myron “Doc” Bartelt of Fond Du Lac, WI; and his very special friends, Peter Jones and Kelly Anderson of Eagle, WI. Bob is also survived by a number of cousins, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his step-father, Roy Raduechel, and a brother in law, Ed Tritz.

Memorials in Bob’s honor may be made to the Gary Sinise Foundation for veterans.

In accordance with Bob’s wishes, a private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
