Scott A. Wambold

Scott A. Wambold, age 67, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 16, 2026 at his home with his loving family by his side.

Scott was born on September 24, 1958 in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin the son of Gordon and Fern (Knickelbine) Wambold. He grew up in the Eagle area and was a 1976 graduate of Mukwonago High School. God blessed Scott with a son, Ryan. He was united in marriage to Denys Nuspl on July 5, 2014 at Blue Spring Lake and the couple went on to enjoy 12 years of marriage together. Scott worked as a heavy machine operator for the majority of his working career. He worked hard and took pride in providing for his family and making sure they had what they needed. For leisure, Scott was an avid outdoorsman. He loved to be out in God’s creation hunting and fishing. He will be remembered for his kind heart and friendly, easy-going personality. His best times were spent with his family and friends enjoying good breakfast food, playing pool, or enjoying the great outdoors. Scott also enjoyed a special connection with his pet dogs and his canine companions brought him a lot of joy over the years. Scott was a good and loyal man and will be deeply missed.

He is survived by: his loving wife, Denys Domres Wambold of Mukwonago; his loving son, Ryan (Mary) Wambold of Palmyra; his father, Gordon Wambold of Eagle; his step-sons, Mackin (Ileia) Domres of Palmyra, and Jared (Autum) Domres of Palmyra; his dear grandchildren, Hadley, Graylin, Raymond, and Roselyn; his siblings, Mark (Sandy) Wambold of Eagle, Cindy Wambold of Eagle, Kevin (Linda) Wambold of East Troy, Brian (Michelle) Wambold of Delavan, Barry (Julie) Wambold of Elkhorn, Karl Wambold of Mercer, and Julie Wambold of Mukwonago; his sister-in-law, Debra (George) Callow, brother-in-law, Joseph (Kim) Nuspl; his father-in-law, Joseph (the late Sandee) Nuspl, and his loving dog and best buddy, Zeus. He is further survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Scott is preceded in death by his mother, Fern Wambold and his mother-in-law, Sandee Nuspl.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, August 22, 2026 at the Gibson Family Funeral Home in Eagle (499 Elkhorn Road, Eagle, Wisconsin 53119). Visitation will take place from 11:00AM until the time of service at the funeral home.
