Obituary

Stephen C. Kezman, 86, of Eagle, WI fell asleep in the arms of Jesus on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at his home.

Steve was born on August 3, 1937 in Milwaukee, WI the son of Joseph and Catherine (Brem) Kezman. He grew up in the Milwaukee area and after graduating high school, Steve worked at Allis Chalmers in West Allis,WI as a draftsman. He then became a firefighter for the City of West Allis,WI for 18 yrs. Steve enjoyed his time with the fire department and took his job of protecting others very seriously. He had a very caring personality and was always concerned with the needs of others. While Steve worked as a firefighter, he started his own business in the trucking industry, Kezman Transportation. This side business would grow and become his primary work. Steve had a strong work ethic and took pride in providing well for his family. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus West Allis Chapter for many years. On November 19, 1977, Steve was united in marriage to his soulmate, Jacquelyn Weber and the two went on to enjoy 45 wonderful years of marriage together. Steve was kind, very generous and a man of strong faith and conviction. He lived his faith by serving on the fire department, being a member of the Eagle fire department board, running his business with honesty and integrity, and being a loving husband, father and friend. Steve was a good man and he will be dearly missed by those he leaves behind. As Steve would say, "Keep the Faith!"

He is survived by: his loving wife, Jacquelyn Kezman of Eagle; his seven children, Catherine Royalty of Palmyra, Laura (Daniel) Strackbein of Vernon, Timothy (the late Margaret) Kezman of Wisconsin, Joseph (Holly) Bilicki of Brookfield, Steven(Amy) Kezman of Charlotte, NC, Gerald Bilicki of Waukesha, and Roger (Anne) Bilicki of Mukwonago; and his siblings-in-law, David and Karen. He is also survived by his seven grandchildren, his 11 great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers, Joseph and Antone.

The family would like to extend a special heartfelt thanks to the staff of Angels Love and Care for the wonderful care they provided Stephen.

Memorials in Steve's honor may be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital in lieu of flowers. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at St. Theresa Catholic Parish in Eagle, WI (136 W. Waukesha Road, Eagle, WI 53119). Fr. Stephen Buting will officiate the Mass. Visitation will take place from 9:00AM until the time of service at the church. Stephen will be laid to rest immediately following the mass at St. Theresa Catholic Cemetery of Eagle during a private family service.
