Virginia A. Zale

Our dear mother Virginia A. Zale (Ginny) passed away peacefully on February 13th, 2025, almost making it to 90 years young. Ginny was the devoted wife of Harvey Zale, mother to Kye Briesath (Liz), Steve Zale, Mike Zale, Scott Briesath (Laurie), and Donnis Briesath, as well as grandmother to Brandon Briesath (Erin) and Rosie Scholz, and great-grandmother to Cayden Briesath.

Ginny loved sewing and crafting, decorating her home, hunting for antiques, RV camping, pets over the years, and spending time with family and friends. She spent most of her life in the home she and Harvey built with their six children on beautiful Willow Spring Lake in Mukwonago WI. She loved singing around the house, was a fierce board game competitor, and had a wicked sense of humor. She was a master interior decorator and great vegetable and landscape gardener. She was proud of her frugality, and made so very much do with very little, including foraging from the land, canning and preserving, and creatively repurposing any and everything.

And despite limited resources, she was kind, generous and thoughtful in her consistently giving to others, including her continuous support for various charities over the past decades.

Ginny and Harvey were great fun, and dressed in hilarious Halloween costumes. She deeply loved her children and grandchildren, and was glad to be reunited with her sweetheart Harvey for Valentine's Day. She was a force of nature, and will be missed by family and friends old and new.

A celebration of Ginny’s life will be held this spring or early summer.
